I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton and am currently pursuing a graduate degree from the University of Texas. I have always enjoyed math and science courses. As a university student I decided I wanted to share that with peers and high school students.During my time tutoring I began to realize how many people are truly intimidated and even overwhelmed with their science and math coursework. I find I am able to break down some of the more difficult concepts and present them in a less intimidating way. I realize that not everyone will come to love math and science in the same way I do, however, it is my hope that my students will at least develop an appreciation for them.Some of the courses I tutor include algebra 1 & 2, calculus 1, middle school math, biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, microbiology, physics, physiology, biochemistry, math, and science. I also enjoy helping students improve their study and organizational skills and helping them prepare for standardized exams such as the SAT.During my free time I enjoy hiking, exploring new places, running, playing soccer, and ultimate Frisbee.
